Description

Q Fly Wick – Replacement Lure for Queensland Fruit Fly Monitoring

Fruit flies can damage valuable fruit before growers even realise they are present. Early detection is the key to protecting crops, reducing unnecessary spraying and making better pest management decisions.

The Q Fly Wick is a premium replacement lure designed specifically for the Fruit Fly Trap Pro. Each wick contains a highly effective Cue-Lure attractant combined with Maldison insecticide, attracting male Queensland fruit flies from distances of up to 400 metres.

Once attracted, male flies enter the trap where they are captured and counted, providing valuable monitoring information that helps growers determine fruit fly activity and the best timing for control programs.

Unlike routine calendar spraying, monitoring allows growers to respond only when fruit fly populations become active, helping reduce chemical inputs, labour costs and crop losses.

Suitable for commercial orchards, vineyards, market gardens and home fruit trees, the Q Fly Wick provides up to three months of continuous attraction before replacement is required.

Whether you manage citrus, stone fruit, mangoes, avocados or backyard fruit trees, Q Fly Wick helps you make informed pest management decisions.

Product features include:

  • Long-lasting 90-day lure
  • Attracts male Queensland fruit fly up to 400 m away
  • Easy replacement
  • Accurate monitoring
  • Supports Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
  • Ideal for commercial and home gardens

Q Fly Wick is designed primarily as a monitoring tool when used individually. Male Annihilation Technique (MAT) programs require larger commercial deployments.
